Genesis

KV No.1 Raipur was established in 1982. It is located in the WRS Colony area of Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. The school was initiated by the authorities of S.E.C Railway to  meet the educational needs of the children of its employees. The land for the school was acquired on lease from S.E.C Railway for 99 years. The new school building was  constructed in 1992 and was inaugurated by the then General Manager of S.E.C Railway, Mr. Vaithiswaran. The Kendirya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) manages KV No.1 Raipur. KVS is registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act and oversees the functioning of Kendriya Vidyalayas across India and abroad. KV No.1 Raipur is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers education from classes I to XII.
